Yellow tang (bred)

Vivid yellow surgeon fish and great swimmer, tirelessly browsing through algae on rocks. It needs space to swim and will become aggressive if it feels confined within its territory. A 300 liter minimum volume is necessary for it to thrive. Herbivore and very dynamic, it burns lots of calories and needs a daily and consequent, rich diet in plant food (fresh or lyophilized algae, herbivore fish pellets). It can live up to 30 years if fed correctly and lives in the proper environment. If your aquarium allows it, we advise to introduce them by trio, instead of a pair in order to avoid any aggressive clash.
