Seahorses (bred)

The genus of the seahorse, also called hippocampi, belongs to the family of pipefish. Its distribution area includes tropical and temperate seas. The head of this particular genus of fish similar to a horse and the rest of the body resembles a worm. Seahorses have a special kind procreate, because not the females are pregnant, but the males. Seahorses are very popular among hobbyists, but not necessarily suitable for beginners because they are hard to keep up with other species combined. Their size depends on the species, ranging from 2.5 to 25cm. Even the color of the sea horses varies, there are as yellow, brown and black hippocampi, but also orange, purple or white species are found. All our Seepferdechen are naturally bred.
